He'e

He'e means octopus in Hawaiian. The octopus is flow. It moves through water and through every obstacle it meets, endlessly adaptable, in form and in appearance both. It fills any space and occupies it without attachment, then moves on. Of all the creatures on this earth, it comes closest to being like water. I sculpted this talisman to be a reminder of non-attachment and adaptability. Permeability as a virtue.
